Brrrr.... I just looked at the temperature on the internet. It's currently -42oC in Rouyn-Noranda, where I live. If I had noticed this morning I would have dressed better before going out. Instead I froze my cheeks and there's no way I'm going back home for lunch today: Long Live Delivery!

I spent last weekend in Sudbury, Ontario and I had a great time. One of the new activities I discovered there was a professional auction. It was held at the Howard Johnson Hotel on Sunday pm.
I had such a blast! The 2 men leading the auction were soooo good! One had a microphone and was talking faster than his shadow and the other one was walking back and forth and spot the bidders and tried to tease them into bidding higher. They were hilarious to watch for anybody like me who's not used to auctions because they were so good at their jobs that it was a bit cartoon-like.
I don't have any pictures from it but the merchandise was all brand new from merchants who probably went in bankruptcy and had to clear everything. Lots of unique items and great original pieces for so cheap! I even saw a gorgeous grand-father clock go for 400$ only!
It was a great experience and I'm looking forward for the next one...

This movie was interesting. I really appreciated the quality of the picture as well as the great soundtrack put together for the movie. Beautiful characters such as the one played by Bette Midler and the gay friend, made me love the movie even more. Now I'll definitely have to rent the older version of that movie to be able to compare.

This movie features Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Christopher Walken. It's a comedy about 2 neighbours who are also best friends and one becomes billionnaire over night, making the other one feel miserable. The acting is very good, but overall, the movie is not great... The humour is light and not as good as Meet the Parents or Shallow Hal. I wouldn't pay to see it. And I certainly wouldn't cancel any plans to watch it either. But it was entertaining on a snowy day.
Trivia fact:
At the 2004 Cannes Film Festival, during a press conference for Shark Tale (2004), both Jack Black and Dreamworks' Jeffrey Katzenberg publicly apologized for Envy (2004).

I play curling twice a week, in 2 different teams. I love that sport! It makes me feel proud to be Canadian too ;).
What is curling?
-winter sport
-played in teams
-strategy and precision are the 2 key aspects of it
For all those people who have never heard of curling, here's a webpage that will give you a good idea of what I'm talking about.

I saw this movie yesterday night with my boyfriend. If you enjoyed the first movie (The Bourne Identity) then you will most likely like this one too. Same style, same Performance for Matt Damon, everything about this movie is good. Just make sure you have the time to watch it twice because the first viewing might leave you with unanswered questions and a bit of confusion. You don't need to have seen the Bourne Identity to follow this movie well.

Stay tuned, I also rented Stepford Wives and Envy...

This year, the compagny for which I work, has decided to organize a xmas party. But because the labour-management relations are still very tense, we decided to change the typical evening xmas party into a brunch where employees could bring their kids, so that we wouldn't deal with alcohol intake.
The results?
-Less participation than expected
-The participants had more fun than expected :)
The food was great, the kids got presents from Santa and his elf and we played bowling.
Did I just say bowling? Oh my! I play bowling a little less than once a year what a fool I was gonna look! Here are the scores I got for the 3 games:
-71 Ouch!
-120 Decent..
-167 YEAH!!!
Good thing I only play once a year!

As a Labour Relations consultant, I hear different opinions about trade unions on a daily basis.
The views I hear the most are:
- Unions are necessary to give some power and resources to the employees when they have conflict with management
- Unions are out of date. With the labour codes and human rights being reinforced over the years, there is no longer a need for unions.
- Unions reduce productivity by raising wages and imposing restrictions in management's methods.
What is your idea about trade unions and their role in improving the workers' condition?

Funwebcams explained by Jerrika (Registration, Rules, Functionning, Who to find there, etc.)
Only a few months ago, I was going through personal webpages and found that someone was a regular user of FWC...
FWC? It stands for FunWebCams
I had just bought a webcam the week before and I thought I might give it a shot and try it out since the information said it was FREE and I wanted to meet interesting people.
When I discovered FWC.... No, my life didn't change that much and I don't hold my head higher in public! This is not paid advertising... lol! But really, I was thrilled to find a chat room in which you can see the people you're talking to live on webcam.
The advantage it has versus MSN or Yahoo messenger is that you can enter a micro society of people with webcams and chat to them all at once!
Another thing I really appreciated, is that all the rooms are moderated. If someone wants to exhibit himself or herself on webcam, then every will applause but the requesting of any female to do things or get clothes off on her cam is not tolerated.
I recently created a French room, in which users are welcome to chat either in French or English and you can usually find me there!
Please if you try FWC, come say hello to me.... or....."bonjour"! Be careful though..... This chat program is addictive!

Hmmm.... What a total sadness! I personnally never thought Bush would be able to convince more than 50% of Americans to vote for him after his poor performance in the debates...
Here are other people who are just as sorry as me:

If your opinion is dfferent from mine, that's great! Would you be kind enough to post your views here?
I'm also interested in all funny webpages that deal with this topic.
